What Is A Chreaster?

The Easter holiday is just around the corner and families will share in a dinner of carrots, colorful hard-boiled eggs, and delicious stuffed rabbit........no wait, maybe not! Poor Easter bunny never gets any respect. Even this great shot from the unmistakable movie The Christmas Story somehow took it's cheap shot at the "wascally wabbit"!

Christmas & Easter are the two holiday's that draw the most attention to Jesus birth, life, death, and resurrection than any other time of the year. Now is the best time ever to hunt yourself a chreaster! What is a chreaster? It's someone who only attends church two times per year; Christmas & Easter. Chreasters can look like grandparents, neighbors, coworkers, or ever the ordinary stranger. But regardless they are still more receptive to the gospel message around this time of year than any other time.

This Easter why not step out and encourage someone you care about to join you for an Easter service. Pastor Aaron joked yesterday, the church isn't just open on 2 Sunday's a year and closed the other 50. Christ has risen! He is alive and well! Our doors are open weekly for people to encounter him in a new and amazing way. Take advantage of this openly religious holiday and reach out to someone who needs to know the true eternal meaning of Easter!

Have a GREAT week!
