I agree 100%. When I taught for Junior Achievemnt, I was amazed at the attitude of the young students towards learning. This is my children's generation. My parents had 9 children and my dad considered it one of his greatest achievements that all 9 of us graduated from high school. He grew up in the era when kids had to stay home and help on the farm so he not get his GED until he was in the army. This is just another forgotten priviledge that God has blessed our country with that is ungraciously thrown away.

I picked up a copy of Pastor Cymbala's book and began reading it Sunday evening. I'm two thirds of the way through the book. What an example of what Central can do in Green Bay if we all just pray and praise God for all circumstances. He wants nothing more than for us to trust Him in all situations. And to call out to Him instead of looking for answers in the worldly plane. Thanks Pastor Mark for your willingness to lead us in the religious darkness that overshadows Green Bay. My question is how do people who don't have a relationship with God find this out? Someone that isn't "Born again" or does not live their life for God - Does God call them eventually to come to Him?

Recently my sister invited me to a Broadway Musical playing in a local theater. She is always on the go with these types of events, traveling, wining, dining, lots of culture. She is very fortunate to have the money to live this way, but I worried the whole time about where God was in her life, how does she ever fill that void, does she even have it?

How can someone who seems so happy and blessed not know God? Or does she know Him and I am just not seeing it by the worldly things she partakes of? I worry that people who have everything they need (or that they seem to need) will not find Him?

I dunno, just pondering.

BTW, we are moving in a couple of weeks out there with Charlie - permanently!!!

Iagree, I have suggested that some of our Mappers leave a project because of negative talk. It can affect a whole crew (perhaps should say infect). Mark, I enjoyed your post and it made me think of The Azuza Street Revival. They started out in a dingy white warehouse that had been used as a barn. They cleaned it up the best they could and set up 2 by 12 planks, twelve feet long for benches. Not very nice compared to the churches we go to. BUT they experienced the real power of God and witnessed miracles that we only dream of. Just makes you wonder....
